Stanza mobi support

Calibre is very capable ebook software available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. There is another option, when you setup your Amazon Kindle account, you would have been assigned a special email address. There will be a small Amazon fee for this service. It would make business sense to Amazon to delay or stop a Stanza for iPad because Stanza's popularity and the diversity of formats which it can handle provide users with many options for content other than Amazon or itunes.

Purchasing Stanza gave Amazon the ability to control Stanza's direction. While it is already a presence on the iPhone, Stanza does not need to be introduced onto the iPad--at least, until Amazon feels more secure in the Kindle reader's place on the tablet.

Am i reading too much into this? It would have been great to have Stanza available for the iPad at launch. It provides access to books in many formats that iBook and Kindle do not. The iPhone version runs but is blurry at 2x. Its tolerable but not attractive. MOBI files can also be read by popular eBook readers like the Amazon Kindle and many smartphones that support the format.
