Less people know that he was also a great director that made action comedy classics in Hong Kong and that, with his excellent Drunken Master , propelled Jackie Chan to worldwide stardom.
But even less people know that this was Jackie's first great participation and Ping's debut! Jackie Chan! Besides, this gives me a chance to catch up on the approximately Jackie Chan movies that I haven't seen. I'm sure there must be a reason why I have not watched any pre- Project A Jackie Chan films to date but I honestly have no idea why that is. I'm glad I've sort of started the process of addressing this issue with Snake In The Eagle's Shadow because this was absolutely great and immediately one of my top 3 Jackie Chan films of all time.
